Cambridge Who's Who Names Maria Struik an Entrepreneur of the Year in the Hospitality Industry
Maria Struik has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and is giving new life to the tested and proven diner concept

BRUCE MINES, ON, CANADA, December 8, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maria J.R. Struik, President and CEO of Roosters Diner, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in the Hospitality Industry. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Mrs. Struik has accrued more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. As the President of Roosters Diner, which is known for its simple, good food and great hospitality, she oversees the operations of existing units as well as the opening of additional new locations. Mrs. Struik is responsible for site selection for new locations as well as the screening process for potential new operators. ln addition to the foregoing, Mrs. Struik is developing a hospitality training school that will offer employment opportunities to her community.

Mrs. Struik was educated in the Netherlands and holds the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business. For the past two years she has been a finalist in the North American Marketing Contest. She became completely involved in the business following the untimely death of her husband three years ago, and attributes her success to her faith and hard work. She is actively involved with pro-life groups in Ontario and is interested in providing employment and hospitality training to new mothers. In addition, she plans to establish at least 25 new diners in the next several years.
