The MEN Arena in Manchester is set to welcome Bolton's Paddy McGuinness for a live stand-up show.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, September 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stand-up star Paddy McGuinness will perform a solo show at the MEN Arena for the first time next month.
 
The Bolton comedian, known for his appearances alongside close friend Peter Kay and as the host of popular dating show Take Me Out, is set to appear at the Manchester venue on Saturday October 29th.
 
McGuinness will be hoping to follow in Kay's footsteps by charming the MEN Arena, although the size of the venue is unlikely to faze the 38-year-old performer.
 
The comic has been a regular fixture on British TV screens since rising to fame as a cast member on Phoenix Nights, the cult Channel 4 sitcom written by Kay, Dave Spikey and Neil Fitzmaurice.
 
As well as creating the spin-off series Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere with Kay, McGuinness has appeared as a presenter on shows such as 71 Degrees North and This Morning.
 
He is due to return to his comedy roots for the show in Manchester, which will be filmed for his forthcoming Saturday Night Live DVD.
 
Tickets can be purchased online, priced at GBP25 plus booking fee. The performance is due to begin at 20:00.
