The August date is just one of five such occasions in the city calendar. The aim of these shows is to allow five different countries to compete for the honour of producing the best fireworks display. Scheduled spectacles include music performances. The Baroque beauty of the Herrenhausen Gardens, sometimes referred to as 'The Royal Gardens,' provides a beautiful backdrop for the display. The whole area is transformed into a nightlong entertainment venue with concerts of classical music as well as stalls offering food and liquid refreshments.

There is a large range of hotel Hannover to suit all tastes and all pockets. Access to the Herrenhausen gardens from the centre of Hannover is easy by either tram or bus.

Visitors must pay to visit this superb pyrotechnic exhibition. Ticket prices are available from the Hannover Tourist Board. The Hannover Marketing and Tourist Office will be happy to arrange tickets for groups of over 20 people.
