GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA, May 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Gold Coast's annual Teddy Bear Fair will celebrate its 11th anniversary when it takes place midway through next month.

Since it was established, the expo has garnered a reputation as one of the world's top events for bear and doll artists and enthusiasts.

Producers set to appear at the 2011 fair include Gerri Williams, Linda Benson, Lorraine Almond and Sylvia Durrer.

Exhibitors are set to travel from as far afield as New Zealand, the Netherlands and the US to participate in the show.

As well as browsing the wide array of bears on display, visitors will have the rare opportunity to purchase their favourite creations direct from the artist.

The main event is scheduled to be held on June 11th and 12th at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, running from 10:00 to 16:00 local time on each day.

Admission will cost AU$10 for adults, AU$7 for senior citizens and AU$2 for children.

A comprehensive workshop programme has also been planned, giving people the chance to pick up bear-making tips from the experts. These sessions will be held at the Kympatti Studio in Broadbeach from June 13th to 16th.
