BANGKOK, THAILAND, May 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Asia International Guitar Festival will take place in Bangkok next month and bring together a host of expert musicians from across the globe.

Running from June 16th to 19th, the event includes performances and masterclasses by the panel of guests.

Attendees have a real breadth of talent to enjoy, with Pavel Steidl from the Czech Republic, Cuban-Costa Rican guitarist Jorge Luis Zamora and Germany's Syrinx Duo topping the bill.

A masterclass will take place every morning at 09:30 local time and concerts are scheduled most afternoons and evenings.

In addition to this, there will be a competition, the final of which will be held on June 19th at 14:00.

One anticipated highlight is a performance by Monching Carpio, who recently won the Philippine Guitar Competition. He takes the stage at 16:00 on the opening day.

Korea's Young Seo, Raks Chingsakol from Thailand, Yiuchi Imai of Japan and Alessio Monti are among the other names due to make an appearance.

The festival is being held at the Siam City Hotel, with each event individually priced.

Concerts cost between 300 baht and 600 baht (GBP6.10 and GBP12.20).
