Guoman Hotels Announces Regal Afternoon Tea at The Royal Horseguards
Guoman Hotels has announced it is to launch a limited edition afternoon menu at its Royal Horseguards Hotel to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

LONDON, ENGLAND, March 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Guoman Hotels has announced the launch of a limited edition afternoon tea menu at London's AA Hotel of the Year, The Royal Horseguards this April. The special menu is being created in celebration of the impending marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The grand five-star hotel presides over the River Thames and is located literally moments away from where the Royal Procession will take place. It's an ideal spot to relax and indulge in a beautifully crafted, limited edition afternoon tea in a London hotel.

The hotel's inventive Head Pastry Chef Joanne Todd has handcrafted the truly British menu in honour of the young couple. The celebratory regal tea experience begins with a Sapphire Earl Grey Tea, playing homage to Kate's beautiful and unique wedding ring, as well as a selection of sandwiches including ingredients such as organic cucumber, coronation chicken, Welsh rarebit, king prawn and Scottish smoked salmon.

Sweet treats with a royal twist follow, including a miniature rich fruit royal iced wedding cake, English Rose cupcakes scented with Duchy Estate honey, the Queen of Puddings (a delicious combination of berry compote and custard crowned with meringue) and William and Kate heart-shaped buttery sable cookies. Those with a sweet tooth will also love the twist on the classic wedding aperitif, Kir Royale; a blackcurrant liqueur and champagne layered jelly, or one may wish to indulge in a dreamy Eton Mess surrounded by a curl of Valrhona white chocolate or the velvety Felchlin chocolate royale, served on a chocolate and pistachio tartlette.

In traditional style, the regal afternoon tea menu is served complete with scones, Cornish clotted cream and English preserves.

The Royal Wedding afternoon tea in London is available throughout the month of April at Guoman's The Royal Horseguards. For more information, customers can visit www.guoman.com/royalafternoontea.
